Western White Oak, grown in Oregon and used in the construction of slave pallets, eliminates face crushing and debris probems. By the very nature of the wood species, Western White Oak pallets are stronger, more durable, and able to withstand chain transfer movement. Increased life expectancy of a Western White Oak pallet can be FIVE (5) times longer than a softwood pallet. These comparisons have been made from field studies with A.S.R.S. customers. Western White Oak slave pallets are cost effective and guaranteed to prevent face crushing and debris from face deterioration.

Western White Oak is recognized as one of the hardest wood species grown in North America and noted for its hardness, toughness, resilience, and resistance to abrasion. No other wood species compares in the contruction of Slave Pallets.

Slave pallets constructed with Western White Oak have now been in the market for 6 years. Over 125,000 pallets have been produced and are in service. After careful examination at different ASRS customers, we can say with complete assurance that we have achieved a significant break-through, in slave pallet servicability and longevity. No longer will it be necessary to contend with debris from pallet deterioration.

For the first time, we have achieved a procedure to process Western White Oak veneer. The Slave Pallet manufactured using this new technology is a proven success and will replace today's softwood pallet.

Face crushing and debris is shown clearly in the pictures taken of slave pallets from this A.S.R.S. customer pallet inventory. One pallet is manufctured with softwood veneer and the other manufactured with Western White Oak veneer.
